Meet the McCabe Team

The Whittier Fifth Dimension and associated McCabe Community Education Programs are coordinated by a specially selected group of Whittier College undergraduates, the McCabe Scholars.

Members of the Scholars team are chosen based on rigorous criteria: outstanding scholarship, leadership, and character -- and, especially, demonstrated commitment to social justice and change.

McCabe Scholars work one-to-one with children and manage daily program operations in the Fifth Dimension. They design new learning experiences for children, youth, and families; and they direct Whittier College's Day on Campus program. They also lead and work with children in other McCabe programs at the Boys & Girls Club of Whittier. A generous grant from the B. C. McCabe Foundation supports the programs and provides each McCabe Scholar with financial assistance.
